My current research is focussed on the historian Herodotus with particular emphasis on
- the types of anger he portrays,
- his interest in names as a measure of fame,
- the pattern of triads that abound in his work.
Other areas in which I have work in progress includes
- Aeschylus’ use of etymologies of proper names
- verbal abundance in Aristophanes
- and the history and cultural significance of the bear in antiquity
