Research Interests

  • Social and cultural history of the late Roman Republic / Early Principate
  • Roman religion
  • Comparative mythology
  • Historiography and interdisciplinary methodologies

I am a first year MA student in Ancient Culture, Religion, and Ethnicity and a teaching assistant at the University of British Columbia. My particular research areas include processes of change within the late Roman Republic and Early Principate, and I am especially focused on the application of interdisciplinary methodologies to understand complex themes during periods of sociocultural transformation. I am also interested in Roman cult worship and the role of mythology in both building and reflecting cultural values and norms.
