Dr. Siobhán McElduff Receives a Public Humanities Course-Release Award

The Department of Classical, Near Eastern, and Religious Studies is pleased to announce that Siobhán McElduff has been named as a recipient of a Public Humanities Course-Release Award. This award, bestowed by the new Public Humanities Hub (PHH) at UBC-Vancouver, supports research excellence among Humanities scholars in the Faculties of Arts, Law, and Education at UBC, and is intended to develop and highlight public-facing research in the Humanities.

Siobhán’s project is called “UnRoman Romans: enabling public scholarship by undergraduate students via an Open Educational Resource (OER).” Their course release for this project will take place in Term 2 of the 2019-2020 academic year.

A big congratulations to Siobhán on this exciting opportunity to develop this public facing, student-focused initiative that relates to the ancient world!
